I got an student loan in 2010. But I never got living allowance while everyone else did and has been getting it. The funny thing is my notification of assessment from back then calculation of assessment for allowable cost includes living allowance of $ 11,985.00 but I don’t know that actually means. Was that supposed to be the living allowance that I will receive on the period of my study? While my actual student loans was $15,040.00 which was directed deposited to the school. I did not receive any money from the student loan to my account. Thank nice video and good information God bless.

I’m terrified to go pursue the degree I want, I would like to get a MBBS in the uk but it could end up costing me 250k-300k CAD and I’m not sure how I would approach such a large amount of debt.

I racked up $92,000 in expenses during my degree in Canada. Through tons of hustle, part time jobs, summer jobs, internships, student hacks, and generally being frugal, I managed to pay off my debts by the day I graduated 💪

What i’m planning to do is to take student loan for a 2 year course. And i’m gonna pay the loan partially while i’m studying because i have few savings just to reduce the total amount of the loan. Is it okay? And will the interest still exist in the remaining balance even if i paid it partially?

You mentioned a grant available after you’re done school? Where can one find those information?
