Do yall thing, love that you have a sinking fund for it….debt free S-cation are the best 😁 It's definitely gone be interesting to see how all of this shake out, especially when you have so many sectors having a hard time filling positions. Let's not forget about so many states jumping on board to end the additional $300 weekly unemployment before September. IF there is anything related to student loan relief, it'll probably be another extension before a $10K cancellation. The jobs report will definitely be one of the major factors in this. Thanks for the update πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Sad that governments are not investing in their young people and making them pay for education. The only people that are guaranteed work are the teachers who sell them the dream.

HAHAHAHA! I did not expect that at all. But anyway, I think cancellation is not at the table anymore, at least mass-scale cancellation. Probably a targeted cancellation is more in view. As for the extension, I really do they extend it. At least, they should give that to us borrowers.

I think they're gonna extend it as well, but I'm hoping they will extend it through all of 2022 or at least June 2022. 😬 I wonder if they would ever consider doing a combo of the loan forgiveness and loan forbearance. Like if you resume loan payments in 2022 we'll cancel $10K (or whatever amount) of your student loans. If you choose to continue the forbearance for say an additional 6mos or 12mos, then you won't have the option of student loan forgiveness.

Great to hear your commentary here. Student loans really drag down young people these days. Yeah, gone are the days when one could work his/her way through college.

Haha SS Fund makes sense! I feel for people who are drowning in student loans, with have very low ROI. That was an interesting point about the potential risk of refinancing a federal loan.
