Iowa Student Loans Payment – Iowa Dad CONFRONTS Elizabeth Warren Over Student Loan Plan!

Iowa Student Loans Payment – Most Popular?

An angry father confronted Sen. Elizabeth Warren saying those who responsibly saved to pay for student loans themselves would get “screwed” under her student debt cancellation plan.

“I just wanted to ask one question. My daughter is getting out of school. I’ve saved all my money. She doesn’t have any student loans. Am I going to get my money back?” the father asked Warren in a photo line after a presidential campaign town hall in Grimes, Iowa, on Monday.

“Of course not,” Warren answered, without hesitation.

“So you’re going to pay for people who didn’t save any money and those of us who did the right thing get screwed?” the father pressed.

I would be upset too. I made mistakes and had help getting out of them. Afterwards I made responsible choices to avoid accumulating that much debt while working until I had the opportunity to go back without breaking the bank.
Turns out I should have just took out another loan and waited a few years.

Basically it boils down to……"I paid for my children's college education by working hard and sacrificing and now you also want me to pay for your children's education so you don't have to work hard and sacrifice."

The student debt forgiveness is a joke. It was tried out before and I know people that "got their debts forgiven" yet the state is still collecting that money. So who ever thinks that debt is going away think again. If the government wants that money they will get that money. Only banks get a do over. I personally think that 80 to 90 percent of of colleges today suck. There is no real education. You are better off going to a trade school.

I love the hypocrisy of the kids who are for this. They want "their" free stuff, but when confronted with the prospect of being taxed to pay for others to get the same shit, they cry that it's not fair.

Vote Democrat. Red pill you one voter at a time. Debt forgiveness is another product of the privileged that forces the poor pay for mistakes of the rich.

There's no such thing as a free lunch. If something is free it's probably not that great or, there's a catch. I'm glad that guy stood up to Elizabeth Warren. She lost another voter.

Don’t hate the player , hate the game ! I don’t believe Warren has a chance to win the election 🗳 I believe Trump is going to win by a landslide but with my student loans being forgiven would be nice not to lie. I understand it’s not fair 😢 but it would be great to have a Clean slate.

I am ashamed that Elizabeth Warren (Fauxahontas) is from my state. Our country is 22 Trillion dollars in debt it's time we tighten our belts before this mountain comes crashing down on us! This is a burden for all Americans not just the middle class that ends up with the tax burden piled on their backs!  Trump 2020!

we can get to free college over time if we plan it right and stick to it. ALL government wastes millions. try a plan that reallocates what we already spend…like the rest of us have to.

Warren and her Ivory Towered Socialist Cronies on the East/West Coasts can afford to think the way they do and therein lays the problem. They have no conception of struggling from the bottom up as everything's usually given to them on a silver platter. As such, they have the money to give away but they also want us (the hard working lower middle class) to give it away. The bottom line is that they want to steal our money to finance future voters who would then ensure Socialist liars and whack jobs like Warren can go on stealing people's money.

I don't know what her loan forgiveness plan entails, but there is already an application process for student loan forgiveness. However, it's not for everyone, stringent rules apply.

Here is another point for you..on labor economics. You save $$, put kid thru to get a prof degree. On the way Feds offer free college (viz a vix debt cancellation). Now the labor mkt for that profession is saturated. Feds paying for college will only increase cost of education and make universities expand/inflate classes. Its a business boom..and workplace will benefit form a labor surplus, but workers will have less job availability, lower/stagnant pay . This is not a good thing for the gov to blindly fund. More degreees dont necessarily mean more happy/productive people

I actually get what she said and why. The dad asking stated his daughter didn't have ANY loans as he paid for her. The other did, she stated Loan forgivenesss which means, if YOU pay and have NOT taken out loans then you cannot claim for a loan you didn't have. However, you should NOT get any money back which would be absurd regardless. $50k written off the loan? No also. Why do I say this? Because I live in the UK and we have a system that means your debt is for 30 years or until it is paid off in full, which ever is the soonest. At the moment your allowed up to £25k BEFORE any deductions.

If deductions are @6.5% of anything OVER £25k (6.5% may not be the accurate figure but it was 9% before)

If you earned £26k then this is how it is worked out

    £26k – £25k = £1000
    £1,000 * 0.065 = £65 per year repayment (0.065 is the same as 6.5% where 1 = 100% and 0.5 = 50%)
    £65 / 12 = £5.41p (12 being calendar month for monthly wages)
that is £5.41p per month repayment.
    £65 / 52 = £1.25 per week for weekly repayment
Remember, anything OVER £25k earned is worked out at 6.5%.

    If you earned £30k
    £30k – £25k = £5k
    £5,000 * 0.065 = £325 per year repayment
    £325 / 12 = £27.08 per month repayment
    £325 / 52 = £6.25 per week for weekly repayment

After a certain wage bracket is reached then the % goes up a bit but then your earning so much you wouldn't be destitute in the least anyway and you'll pay it off quicker.

    If you earned £24k
    £24k – £25k = -£1k
    £0 * 0.065 = £0
    £0 / 12 = £0
    £0 / 52 = £0

however if this continues for 30 years then the debt or whatever is left is written off unless you pay the full debt off before then. You can pay back anything more than those bottom line repayments. It is NOT based on savings, ONLY earnings each year (your yearly wage packet). And this applies when you have LEFT University on completion, rules change if you drop out etc. Basically, while a student you could earn £26k (not generally likely) and NOT make any repayments as your a student, ONLY when your no longer a student does it start to take effect, you would tho still need to pay Taxes and NI Contributions.

University is NOT a right, it is a right to apply but universities and colleges have the right to refuse also based on certain rules. University is a commodity/service you choose to attend, you are not forced to attend.

Now if you had this in place in the US then maybe things would be different. It would not stop the snowflakes leftist lecturers or students though.
