I don't get it. Nothing prevents you from selling a stock and then buying it again 6 months later if the uptrend starts again. You may not end up with the maximum gain, but you are surely capitalizing a lot of gains reducing risks. It seems so obvious to me.

I think that what robinhood stated is true and that you guys have a willful misunderstanding of robinhood account. I’d bet that most of those accounts are option buyers in that they never even own equities, just flipping contracts. So they aren’t daytraders at all, option traders, and most option traders know that 5k is a lot for a call buyer

Take Cramer's advise…sell some on the way up, buy some when the price comes back in…take out your cost base when you're able to and play with the house's money.

I sold Nvidia in 2006 to pay off my house. I own the house, but it was the worst financial choice of my life with the possible exception of having a buy order in on Apple at $15.50 when it was trading at $17 that never executed. Your massive failures torture you more than your successes. I've instructed my kids to buy target date funds and never look at the balances.

Opened a Robinhood account back in 2015 with a small sum strictly for short term trading. Treated it like a Casino visit in that I either win or leave when the money runs out but I never make a second deposit. It's turned out to be a great release valve for when I think I see obvious quick trades and helps me not touch my core investments. My typical trade window is 2 to 4 weeks. 5 years later I've doubled my initial deposit. Not amazing but serves its intended purpose. Tried actual day trading back in the 80's which was fun until '87! No thanks.

Schiller appears to have recanted much of his view that markets are over-valued, based on the CAPE ratio, and has proposed a new valuation metric that explicitly takes account of current low interest rates.

You'll be happy to know robinhood has been constantly reminding me this week that they now allow you to open trades on expiration day. Got emails, notifications, a little thing on the bottom that you need to hit dismiss on when you open the options chain. Really trying to get people to trade on fridays lol

When to sell your stocks? When the fundamentals of the company changes, otherwise hold forever and dollar cost average, buying on dips. Easy formula for success in the stock market.

Most people on Robinhood aren't day traders bc they don't meet the minimum 25k to be a pattern day trader, so they're forced to hold overnight.

Hey guys I normally don't comment on videos but I think you are really missing the fact that 98% of Robinhood investors don't have $25,000 in there account and there for legally can't be called "day traders" even though they are all day trading at least 3 times a week. Thats the confusion.

Guys, it ends when the smart money takes its money off the table and retail tramples each other to death trying to reach the fire door. Take a look at the dotcom crash in 2000, which had no clearly identified trigger. We are getting very, very close to the end.

why would I sell qualcom/skyworks when it just starting a 5g run? or tesla when it's A#1 EV in north america? or the trade desk, sq,? or nivida/amd when it's supposed to kill it in AI? or tdoc/one med? the future looks good for all these stocks…I see alot of room to run, and just cause they made money doesn't mean your supposed to drop em, and what? pay more to get back in them later, and pay more tax? I could see door dash folding if the pandemic ends…but some of these stocks are future based.. probably alot of old folks dying and giving their kids money, and the kids would rather buy srac instead of hertz…and bitcoin instead of 30 year bonds…
