    3:26 should be specified into
    1.) The positive intent to hold the debt securities for the purpose of contractual cash flows until maturity.
    2.) The contractual cash flows solely depicts principal plus interest payments.

    Hello Professor, I am just brushing up on some concepts before fall Intermediate 3 and I found something that is a bit confusing in my textbook. I am using the Intermediate 10th edition book by Spiceland and my question is about purchasing at HTM. The book says to record the discount at the time of purchase, but you recommend not to. Can you help clear this up for me? Thank you
