This ESG bs is taking away from actually address issues and will make pollution go higher because a company can simply “buy credits”.

I do believe that just buying carbon credits to offsett your carbon emissions is not enough you have to actually have to particapte in physically taking carbon out of the atmosphere buy planting trees and hedgrows

They interrupted him constantly cause they didn't want him to tell the truth about that ESG bs. Pay close attention to the ppl right now that are loud and talk over ppl but won't actually engage and defend ideas or debate. They know they are wrong but talk over truth to shut it up and they have scripted views they are paid to follow.

Chamath knows there is a huge difference between clean air/water/sustainability and the nonsense perpetrated on the market by eco-nazis and politicians. Once real money entered the equation, everything that follows is suspect. Follow. The. Money. Carbon credits are a scam.

I completely agree with Chamath. To add, ESG is also being used as a political tool to direct investments whichever way is favorable to "developed" countries and industries.

Chamath is literally too smart to be on this show talking to this people. The look he gave the host at the very end when he asked him about Virgin Galactic, reminded me the scene of the hang over when Stu tells Alan..”you’re literally too stupid to insult” and Alan answers him with a big “thank you” 😂 🤦‍♂️

These hosts are clear morons. Have some respect when speaking to an incredibly intelligent Billionaire. They seem to think they can talk over Chamath because he is humble and down to earth. Typical mainstream media idiots.

I love how all the new young intellectuals including a fair share of the economists and venture capitalists are of Indian or other non-white descent. Trump's boys must love that. And these idiots interviewing him are like, how do we talk to this brown fellow?

Now's our chance to update the basic equation of commerce into a "round shaped economy" to support perpetual growth theories instead of the current "pyramid shaped economy" which is unsustainable without constant resets and huge wealth gaps. Let's fix the math Weinstein!
