Hey, I have a full time job that I love and spend a fair amount of time screenwriting, which I love… obviously I'd like to make my money work a bit… How much time does this take – Or are ETF's best for me?

I’ve read Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Barefoot Investor and agree that they are great books! Thanks for the additional recommendations. I’ve given the Intelligent Investor a go in the past and just couldn’t get into it.

Small correction 6:19 😉 Peter Lynch did not turn 18 million into 14 billion in 13 years. The assets he managed for his clients increased from 18m to 14bn (because people invested in his fund) 😉 Mathematically, 18m compounded over 13 years with a rate of 29.2% = 503m.

Find rich daad poor daad complete useless, didnt lean anything new. Its basically 150 pages of let money work for you instead of working for money

Even I had started to learn about money from Rich Dad Poor Dad, it was recommended to me by friend back then. And this did change my perspective about money…

You should have read Stock Market Tradecraft. It actually discusses tactics and strategies used by insiders. Rather than competing with them you need to be on their side of the trade. It's not that hard.

Reading the books for my financial paraplanner course and oh boy are they a snooze fest! Very dry and focus only on info. I would much rather read a longer book that gives room for me to absorb the info dumps than 80 pages of straight facts. There's 10 of these books and only through six of them 😭

I've worked in finance and specifically the futures market for over 35 years and I just do not buy into you earning anywhere near that much at your age. I find it an insult that so many fake gurus out there mislead people so badly with rubbish information like this.

The only one I haven't Read/Listened to is Barefoot Investor. Went to Phil Towns Weekend in Georgia 5 years ago and he is very genuine in his philosophy. Good list though.

18 million with 29% compound return for 13 years Will give you 493 million… so No, he didnt get the 14 billion from compound return.. he got it from investors. So dont be fooled by Lynch
