We Just Broke The Unemployment Record… AGAIN! – How to Choose

So last week, we shattered the previous record for unemployment filings in a given week. And this isn’t the kind of record you are proud of. This is like the kid in school who held the record for the most days absent.

And that number came in at 3.3 million people filing for unemployment in a given week. The previous record was 695,000 new filings in a given week in 1982. Well, we beat that by a multiple of almost 5 last week (for the week ending in March 21st).

And this week, we did it again! The labor department released numbers earlier this morning. An additional 6.6 million people filed for unemployment last week (Ending March 28th). And if you are keeping track, that is 2x the previous record set last week and 9.5x the previous record in 1982.

So in 2 weeks time, roughly 10,000,000 people filed for unemployment.

The economy is over leveraged. Please do more research before you broadcast. Your current content isn't much better than the 'head in the sand' CNBC clowns

who knows what problems that kid in highschool had in life and is still probably a smarter and better person than you and everyone else, you shouldn't use that for a comparison example, its stupid small brained and shitty. what is more shameful than you however is the job our government is doing in handling this. Their not doing a completely bad job but even considering making it harder for the elderly to get their stimulus check is beyond horrible, at least they changed their mind, but still, beyond words. beyond words. what is also beyond words is how they are treating college students. no words. no words. so wrong. so very. very. wrong. and us poor suffering people who had it bad even before this crises are paying these people to make these horrible decisions that effect us so badly. The checks should have been out a long time ago, to everyone. With more on the way. Hopefully we'll see some correct decision making soon. I'm getting so sick of people in charge being paid by us to be the stupidest most putrid people on the planet causing problems instead of solving them. Will our government be remembered as hero's after this or shamefuls. We'll see.

Flyover state here…..city slickers are fragile. Meanwhile, rural life has changed little. It's just strange to see everyone else social distancing. Crazy times

Stores are limiting customers to 5 entering at one time. Glass separations on the counters are also being built. The frustration in the air is THICK😔

It's not the same as actual unemployment. It's just to get paid until this crap is over and we can return to work.
Stop dramatizing and click baiting crap that isn't true before it's seen as a crime.

If corporations, businesses and individuals would have had savings… this 1 month shutdown would have been a mild storm. But, realize more than half of Americans couldn’t afford a $400 emergency before this “crisis.” Covid-19 was just the trigger for the instability that already existed.

I don’t think the economy was that strong before covid-19. A few months ago, the FED was intervening in the overnight REPO markets. Also, the bonds were flashing recession warning months ago.
