Does the credit collection company need to send their 30 day notice mail by registered or certified mail? If they don't; How do they acknowledge you received their letter? Can you send a validation request after 30 days?

I mailed a Validation Letter to a DC and they returned COPIES of documents with the words ""UCC NON-AUTHORITATIVE COPY" on them. They provided a statement that they have a Insurance Permit in NC, but nothing stating that they're "Licensed" in NC. The vehicle in question was repossessed and they sent me a copy of an agreement for an Initial Application. The "original" Application was done in another State (DE), and it appears that the DC bought the Charged Off account. What should my next step be? THANK YOU AND I'VE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOU AND ENJOY YOUR TEACHINGS!!

Question: I recently received a settlement check on behalf of a creditor (LVNV) who was not licensed in my state (NJ) at the time. Do I still owe the debt if they were operating illegally?

Is the statute of limitations based on the state where the contract originated or your current state of residency.

I received a verification letter. They just sent me one front copy of a original bill. Look like a screen shot No payment history. Nothing with my social security. Nothing with my signature. Is a collection from 2017 can it be removed with the lack of information given to me

What do I do if Credit Report Agency refuse to remove an item that has expired for contract law? I also called CFPB to file a complaint. Still they won't budge.

What documents should one expect to get back when validation is requested? Especially if you don't expect a signed contract (you already know there is not one). Thanks.
