Dave Ramsey’s take on debt and credit has always been why I don’t follow him. It’s just a bit nonsensical and having credit is almost completely necessary in this country. Also the whole pay off everything like cars is not the normal at all. It’s not the 60s where a teenager could work a day job over the summer and buy a car by the end of the summer. Like most cars are 30,000 so that’s why I sometimes disagree with some of his methods bc they aren’t really realistic. I appreciate you for making that distinction

I do love Dave Ramsey, but I do not agree closing all credit cards account (if you're responsible with it). I opened a credit card when I was 18. I am 23 now with a 793 score and have never carried over a balance.

Great video Leila – as always. I have a video about how to know if you're someone who should own a credit card or not. In your opinion, what are some indicators that someone should not own / use a credit card?

Wow! you have really done your due diligence or this one. I think it pretty much covers everything. It must have taken you several hours to compile all this. I hope your viewers are like me and appreciate your efforts. btw, I'm with Dave Ramsey. No one really needs a credit score. Your grandparents did not know what a credit score was. In today's world, my friend did odd jobs to pay cash for 12 archers outside the city. He lived in a roach coach RV until he built his house one stick at a time. Took him 7 years. but now its paid fully for. Being debt-free begins with not getting in debt in the first place. Its just a mindset of a different lifestyle.

I agree, credit scores are very important! As much as I like Dave Ramsey, I disagree with him when it comes to credit cards. Very informative video- great job as usual, Leila!!
