Video Summary:
Collection Accounts can have a devastating impact on your credit score that will remain for years. As long as a collection account remains on your credit report, there is very little chance of having excellent credit.
One way of removing a collection and see a drastic increase to your credit score is to remove the collection through a pay for delete settlement. Once all collections have been removed, you will see a significant increase in credit score if there are no recent late payments on the credit report.
Often times when pay for delete deals are made, collection companies do not follow through with the deletion due to human error and the volume of accounts they are working with. It is then up to the account owner to follow up, and dispute the account with the credit bureaus to get the collection removed.
As a result, it is important to keep the following documentation on hand in the event that a dispute is needed to apply the settlement terms to the credit report.
1. Keep all written communication from the collection company
2. Keep documentation of all phone calls
3. Request the settlement agreement in writing and keep a copy of the agreement
4. Pay for the settlement in a trackable payment form like a check.
Following the steps above will ensure that you have the evidence needed for a dispute. Disputes can be completed, and the credit score can increase within 7 days or less.

First, I want to say congratulations on the successful removals and magnificent increases! I am proud of you. I sent out some certified documents to Portfolio Recovery, Solomon & Solomon, and SouthWest Credit Systems (SWC Group). All but SWC has agreed to remove them when paid-in-full and yes I have their letters with their letterhead on them as proof. As for SWC, they are going to be more tough to deal with. They want to do the back and forth. It was an old Comcast bill.

So, what I have done was I went to Xfinity Comcast website and communicated with an online representative through chat and had them write out that if I paid them in full that the collection would be remove/deleted from all of my credit reports. I printed that conversation and took note of the conversation number. I did pay it. I disputed it with all three of the credit bureaus by certified mail with all conversations, payment screenshot, account number, date, time, ending card number, etc. I hope I did it all correctly lol. So for now, it's the waiting =/

Last, thank you for the shout out!!! I was super surprised. I was like, "did she just say my name?", then I seen it pop up in the video. Really cool. Thank you!

P.S. I did pay off my student loans recently and that gave me a huge boost ~ So there's that.
Keep it going, stay safe, and take care.

Congratulations! I have 2 $150 collections that just appeared on my credit on 10/9 & 10/11 2020. Both are hospital bills. What should I do? I'm opening a business in the next 2 weeks and need my credit intact. Thank you.
