Wow if they didn't pay it back in 4 years they won't start paying now unless they are made to. A friend had a issue close to this and it ruined his credit and he lost everything he worked hard for and at the end of the day he cleared his name but he never recovered and he ended his life less then 6 months. His family didn't even care.

Last story NTA. However you are enabling your step daughters behavior. From what you have said your daughter can function, but not at an adult level when it comes to relationships, and communication. The childlike behavior when she's with real children is proof enough of that. You sir are in denial when it comes to your stepdaughter and her behavior, and I believe you need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

2nd story YTA, your hating the wrong person. Your sister has no control over her actions, but your PARENTS do have control over theirs. Apparently they haven't been doing anything to alleviate your sisters outbursts. It takes a lot of time and effort as well as help from professionals to deal with severely autistic children, and it doesn't seem like your parents are doing a good job of it. She is still going to have outbursts, but the frequency, and duration can be mitigated. She is going to need them her whole life, and it sounds like they are passing the buck to a child instead of dealing with it themselves. Best thing you can do is go to college, cut ties with your family, and live the best life you can for yourself. I have had the pleasure of working with a charity house that takes in severely autistic children that the parents don't want, and the state won't even deal with. Let me tell you those people are the greatest bunch of people you could help. I couldn't do what they do on a full time basis.

1st story NTA, dude what your mom and dad did is straight out fraud. The kind of fraud that could see them spend some significant jail time in a federal prison. I would first contact the lender who owns the loan and dispute it (give the date you found out about the loan). Second contact the federal loan program if you have the loan number and dispute it. Third file a police report. I say this for your benefit since it is your credit, and reputation that is going to be ruined if you don't. You're going to have to answer some questions but after what they did protect yourself. From the sound of it waiting will do no good since they've failed to make a single payment in 4 years, and yes sue them.

for those people stating that the one op should get his daughter checked out, you have obviously not studied law, you see since said op's daughter is over 18 he can not force her to do that unless he has guardianship, otherwise he can be charged with rights violation, as in the us at least once someone reaches 18, unless someone manages to get awarded guardianship that person is their own legal guardian

The parents actually were abusing both of their children. The autistic daughter wasn't with a real caretaker and so wasn't getting any behavioral therapy to assist her in becoming the closest to independent she can be, as well as abusing OP as a slave and emotionally abusing OP in saying they aren't a child but rather a tool with a duty.

    July 24, 2021 at 6:08 pm

    I agree with the updates!
I'd also say that in the last story OP is in denial about his daughter, the spectrum is wide and incredibly varied I know of a number of adults on the spectrum who are capable of living independent fulfilling lives, it's OP's responsibility to ensure that his daughter becomes as independent as possible if she's not on the spectrum he's guilty of stunting her growth

Nta on the autistic sister. Op was only a kid himself/herself? When put to work caring for her. Parents may have asked to help with little bits around the house, maybe a bit af dusting, vacuuming pot washing and maybe running a few errands etc. You know just to help out a liitle if they are busy with the sister, but certainly not be expected to do everything. Parents definitely the a holes in this story as they new full well what they were doing to op and taking money from relatives under false pretences.

Would OP be the arsehole? Absolutely not! Taking out a loan in somebody else's name is fraud… And fraud is a crime. I'd sue them and press criminal charges!

Yes I very much appreciate updates. I love the AITA Subbretit and regularly listen to them daily on Markees channel. He doesn't always do updates, mostly I suspect due to reading the latest ones. So I'd love it if you'd do more as well as legal advice. I'd only heard 1 of the stories before in this video, so I'm pretty happy to hear some I haven't before.

Also would you mind putting the Subreddit name at start of the title please? It makes it much easier to know which Subbretit it is that way. On mobile, it doesn't show the Subbretit name in the preview of the video as its written at the end.
