Tina, thank you for your Utube site: My story is I did complete and received 2 student aid loans for summer school. Before I could take exams for first courses a student rear-ended my car on my way back to campus to take exams for my first semester courses; After being rushed to hospital my doctor gave me a medical note "note to return to work or school." I did call my financial aid office and told them about the accident and my doctor's note. The school I attended did refund me my rest of my paid course funds but they took the financial aid funds out of my account and let the loans go into default for collections. Now, after finding out about the default loans, the financial aid office at my University says, " you signed your MPN agreement and you must pay the loans you agreed to pay signing your MPN contract. The contract does give me rights with a medical release NOT TO RETURN TO WORK OR SCHOOL." I do remember in counseling that they said, " if you are injured or in an accident etc. and can not return to take your classes all LOAN FUNDS WILL AND SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION…". IS THIS TRUE? AND HOW CAN I GET MY COLLEGE TO RETURN THOSE LOANS? Please send me your professional advice or call me to get further information # 240-480-1758 Thanks. Tina, Mr. Clay
