So . . . in this video, we dive more into our discussion on index fund investing. We talk about the history of the index fund, why the index funds was originally created back in 1975, we share index funds we invest in, and we share our top picks for index funds with Vanguard, Schwab, and Fidelity. Hey A and C!! Thanks for your YouTube clips. Quick question: I am 15% in with Roth/Trad IRA combo. I'm 50 and started LATE, (I DO have a teacher pension eventually, at retirement). I'd like some suggestions on where to put a few hundred a month to get me closer to FREEDOM. I will never FULLY retire bc I will plan to work 20 hours per week or so in tourism, getting seniors out and about since there is such a need for that. But I also have a home in Colonial Williamsburg, VA that Airbnb's for a decent few thousand a month when I'm actively renting so I just need a bit of suggestion to make my dollars start working harder. THANKS AGAIN. Cheers and fun travels.

How many shares do you normally recommend if i buy a vanguard index fund?

Great videos. Would you please share your insight on my question. If one particular stock can yield upwards of 70% per year, wouldn't it be better to invest in that stock than an index fund that will yield around 24% in one year?

Seven years ago our grandson was 17 years old, and I was adamant about opening a custodial Roth account for him. We put in only 100 dollars to open it, which if we waited until he was 18 years old, would have cost us $1000 to open the same Roth account. I had no idea it was up to us to determine what market to invest the money in, until my rich journey came along. You are doing more for me and my family, than any one I have come across. I will support anything your family promotes as I trust you. Thank you for being the "wind beneath my wings".

Smart couple makes smart children. You guys are a great inspiration with your investment style and hustling attitude. You prove what I also know it isn’t necessary to find the next hot stock because you probably won’t . Some 90% of professional money managers can’t beat the s&p 500 unmanaged index. So isn’t it foolish for us laymen to waste our money trying? The answer is as you prove here. YES. Great video as always and beautiful loving family

I have a question. Would you consider going into crypto or just sticking to major index funds? I am invested in crypto but really hate volatility and uncertainties and no dividends. It feels like gambling. I am thinking about moving my funds to safer investments

You are right about the significance of trading on a good brokerage platform.
Trouble is for beginners, it's hard accessing a good brokerage platform when you have less than $10k to begin with.
    What's your recommendation

yes it works as long as the stock market keep on going up and up! Back in 1929 every investor thought that the stock market could only go up and the popular song was Blue sky, there is nothing but blue sky from now on! The world nowadays is quite similar to the aftermath of Spanish Flue a hundred years ago. People changed their way of spending after facing death, over consumption, overproduction, overlending, incompetent US president, ect. We saw fiat money in 5 years increased by 6 trillion dollars and Biden wants to print another 2 for infrastructure, Good luck! For me I would take some profits out and run!

    July 29, 2021 at 9:37 am

So do you basically live off the profits you make from the index funds? Do you just pull out a certain amount, a few times a year? This was a great video!

Investing in stock , no matter it is single stock /active fund/index fund, is one of the stupidest thing in one's early life, buy a house first at a good location using leverage, then started invest in stock.. People always think that getting rich in stock market is easy, but no matter what tools/target/stock/index you use, it is still one of the hardest thing for a man.
