About the panelists:
Jamie Broderick – Director of the Impact Investing Institute
Jamie is Director of the Impact Investing Institute – an independent organisation aiming to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market. Before working with the Institute, Jamie was head of UBS Wealth Management in the UK. Jamie joined UBS after nineteen years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, latterly as Chief Executive of its European operations.
Callum Stewart – Senior DC Investment Consultant and Responsible Investment Lead at Hymans Robertson
Callum joined Hymans in 2015 and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He has around 13 years of pensions, actuarial and investment experience and is responsible for some of Hymans’ largest Defined Contribution clients. Callum leads the responsible investment research and development within Hymans’ DC team and is a member of their firm-wide Responsible Investment and Climate Change working groups as well as the Investment Consultant Sustainability Working Groups. He is also a member of the Governance Committee to their own pension plan heavily involved in recent developments to reduce the carbon footprint of their default arrangement.
Charlotte O’Leary – CEO at Pensions for Purpose
Charlotte is the CEO and an executive director of Pensions for Purpose. In her role, Charlotte oversees the running of the business, develops the growth and innovation strategy and looks for opportunities to build partnerships to achieve Pensions for Purpose’s mission. Charlotte is also a member of the Impact Investing Institute’s Pensions Expert Panel, an ambassador for the Transparency Taskforce and a founder of 10 Billion World, an end-to-end sustainability project management business aimed at businesses and organisations setting net zero and carbon reduction targets. Charlotte has over 15 years of professional experience in asset management.
Paul Miller – Managing Partner and CEO at Bethnal Green Ventures
Paul is CEO and Managing Partner of Bethnal Green Ventures – Europe’s leading tech for good venture capital firm. Having pioneered tech for good investing since 2012, Paul has invested in over 140 early-stage tech companies creating positive impact. BGV was the UK’s first VC firm to become a B Corp in 2015, is one of the UK’s most active investors, and recently joined the Connected Asset Management group to enable pension funds to invest in tech for good. In 2020 Paul received an OBE for services to startup investing.
