She is not in a lot of trouble, but ironically that could be bad news. She is not up to the neck, sue is mot suffering, therefore she doesn't know how badly she could be later on in life is she is not careful.

Don't think Dave realizes how car insurance works. They never give enough to cover a new car, especially if your totaled car was 5 or more years old or had a lot of miles.

She doesn't need to consolidate. Goodness, only two debts?? She is going to have to pay more on one to get it paid off.

If the insurance company gives you $15,000 for a vehicle, it will NOT equate to the same level of vehicle! The dealer gives $15,000 for that car at AUCTION, but they'll be selling it on the lot for $21,995! So the answer is NO, the 15 grand the insurance company gave her WILL NOT replace her car with one of the exact same LOT VALUE

Velocity banking works. Paycheck park your income into a debt weapon and open up your cashflow to pay off this debt

Transfer all of the debt to 0% and pay it off. No need to pay more interest than necessary.

Totally agree with Dave, you must hate the debt to such level of anger that even your broke friends thinks you lost your mind. The debt consolidation is not solution, and the interest rate is not the problem. The most people are not willing to make temporary sacrifice, in order to get out of debt as soon as fast.
